She’s Out Of Surgery!!!

October 2, 2009 by flyingmonkeys1

Cris sent this out at 7:09pm MST. I’m hoping he gets to see her soon, I’m sure the wait is killing him.
I’m so relieved it went well. I’ll keep posting as I get the info.

Well, Dr. Schmidt just came out to see us all. We’re officially the last people in the waiting room tonight I think. He said that the surgery is over, Amanda did awesome, and she is currently in the ICU. She’s going to have another hour and a half being closely monitored before I even have a chance of seeing her. If things look OK, we might get a little time with her tonight before the ICU shuts off visiting for the night at 11pm. She’ll be in ICU at least for 24 hours and we won’t know about beyond that until tomorrow night. The doctor said that things went a smooth as expected and he was very, very positive of the outcome. I’ll post another update after I get a chance to see my girl.

I’m so happy to hear that the surgery went so well! I know Amanda is going to be so thankful to not have to go through the headache pain anymore… Keep reminding her that she’s incredibly strong and that recovery is just a step towards complete relief… *HUGS*

    Thanks for the updates!

I sure hope you get to see her. I’m pretty sure all around everyone needs to see each other. I’m so hoping that she never has the pain she’s dealt with again.

I am so happy that this surgery is finally over. I want to tell you how many of my friends called me last night to ask about you and said to tell you they all had you in their prayers.
